Centrifuge Repair & Rebuild · Nationwide · 24/7

When the centrifuge stops, dewatering stops — we get it spinning again.

Decanter, basket, pusher, peeler, and disc-stack centrifuges — torn down, inspected, rebuilt, balanced, and run-tested in-house. Scroll and bowl rebuild, backdrive gearbox repair, and high-speed dynamic balancing under one roof.

Gear Force Machine repairs and rebuilds industrial centrifuges of every type — decanter, basket, pusher, peeler, and disc-stack/separator — for plants nationwide. We rebuild the parts that wear: scroll and conveyor flights, the bowl, tiles and wear surfaces, bearings and seals — then rebalance the rotating assembly and repair the backdrive gearbox so the whole machine runs true on startup.

We serve dewatering and wastewater plants, mining operations running basket, pusher, and peeler machines, and food and chemical separation lines. Obsolete unit with no parts support? We reverse-engineer the scroll, tiles, or bowl components from the worn part and machine them in-house. Every rebuild ships with a written condition report, line-item pricing, and our warranty — call 832-729-9906and we'll tell you what your centrifuge needs.

Capabilities

One shop, from scroll to certified spin.

A centrifuge lives and dies on its rotating assembly and its drive. We rebuild both under one roof — no farming the scroll to one vendor and the backdrive to another.

Rotating Assembly Rebuild

The scroll, conveyor, and bowl take the abuse. We rebuild flights, replace tiles and wear surfaces, and machine the bowl back to spec so the machine separates the way it did new. Obsolete part? We reverse-engineer it from the worn component.

  • Scroll / conveyor flight rebuild & hard-surfacing
  • Bowl repair, re-machining & wear-surface renewal
  • Tiles, tips & wear-plate replacement

Balance & Test

Centrifuges spin fast, so an out-of-balance assembly destroys bearings and shakes the frame apart. We high-speed dynamically balance the rotating assembly, check vibration, and run-test the machine before it ships.

  • High-speed dynamic balancing
  • Vibration analysis & run-out verification
  • Full run test before shipment

Backdrive & Drive Repair

The backdrive gearbox sets differential speed between bowl and scroll — when it fails, separation fails. We rebuild backdrive gearboxes, replace bearings and seals, and service the hydraulic drive units that run them.

  • Backdrive / planetary gearbox rebuild
  • Bearing & seal replacement
  • Hydraulic drive unit service
From the Shop
  • A Hutchison-Hayes decanter centrifuge open on the test stand with an orange backdrive gearbox at Gear Force Machine.
  • Rebuilt centrifuge scroll conveyors and bowl heads laid out on pallets at the Gear Force Machine shop.
  • A rebuilt decanter centrifuge rotating assembly with a bright orange backdrive on a white base at Gear Force Machine.
  • Two blue top-drive basket centrifuges in the Gear Force Machine shop.
  • A vertical bottom-discharge peeler basket centrifuge on a pallet at Gear Force Machine.
  • A green GEA disc-stack separator centrifuge with the bowl cone visible at Gear Force Machine.
Our Process

Diagnose · Quote · Rebuild · Balance · Ship.

  1. Diagnose

In-shop teardown of the centrifuge. We inspect the scroll, bowl, tiles, bearings, seals, and backdrive gearbox, measure wear against OEM spec, and document the condition with photos.

  2. Quote

Line-item pricing — what gets rebuilt, what gets replaced, what it costs, and when it ships. No surprises mid-job.

  3. Rebuild

Scroll flights rebuilt and hard-surfaced, bowl re-machined, tiles and wear surfaces renewed, new bearings and seals installed, and the backdrive gearbox rebuilt. Obsolete parts reverse-engineered in-house.

  4. Balance

The rotating assembly is high-speed dynamically balanced, vibration is checked, and the machine is run-tested — fully documented before it leaves the shop.

  5. Ship

Free pickup and delivery nationwide, packaged for the road and backed by our rebuild warranty.

Frequently Asked

Questions we hear most.

Not sure where to start? Call 832-729-9906 and we'll walk through it with you.

Decanter (solid-bowl) centrifuges, basket centrifuges, pusher centrifuges, peeler centrifuges, disc-stack/separator centrifuges, and screen-bowl machines. If it separates solids from liquids by spinning in an industrial plant, we can rebuild it.

Both — and we'll tell you honestly which makes sense. A serviceable scroll can be rebuilt: flights re-welded, hard-surfaced, and re-profiled, with new tiles and wear tips, for a fraction of replacement cost. The bowl can be re-machined and its wear surfaces renewed. When a component is past repair or obsolete, we remanufacture it in-house.

Yes. Centrifuges run at high RPM, so an unbalanced bowl or scroll destroys bearings and can wreck the whole machine. We dynamically balance the rotating assembly at speed, verify run-out and vibration, and run-test the machine before it ships.

Yes. The backdrive (or planetary) gearbox sets the differential speed between the bowl and the scroll — when it wears or fails, separation quality drops off. We rebuild backdrive gearboxes in-house, replace bearings and seals, and service the hydraulic drive units that power them.

Yes. When the OEM is gone or the part number has aged out, we reverse-engineer the scroll, tiles, bowl components, or gears from the worn part, CAD the geometry, and machine the replacement in-house. Call 832-729-9906 with the nameplate data and we'll tell you what's possible.

Yes. A downed centrifuge can back up an entire dewatering or process line. Call 832-729-9906 any time — we'll have a technician on the phone and a plan for pickup or on-site response.
