The Challenge

An aging municipal Envirex turntable drive and its secondary gearbox had worn out after years of continuous service. At a wastewater treatment plant, downtime on this unit puts the plant's treatment capacity — and its discharge permit — at risk. Original components were obsolete, with long lead times on the few parts still available.

What We Did

We tore the drive down to the bare housing, then rebuilt and replaced the bronze gears and pinion, bearings, and seals. The housing and turntable were cleaned and repainted before reassembly, and the finished unit was tested. Where original components were no longer available, we reverse-engineered and manufactured them in-house.

The Result

The rebuilt Envirex turntable and secondary gearbox shipped back ready to install, backed by a 3-year warranty on the rebuild. It was the plant's first job with Gear Force Machine — and the first of several that followed.
