Left: as received, worn with poor tooth contact. Right: rebuilt and set to a clean, correct contact pattern.
The Challenge
The gearbox arrived with a worn gear train, showing poor tooth contact and the noise and heat that come with it. Left in service, that pattern accelerates wear and points toward an unplanned failure on the line.
What We Did
We tore the unit down to the housing and inspected every gear, then checked the mesh with marking compound to read the actual tooth-contact pattern. Bearings and seals were replaced. Gears in tolerance were returned to service; worn gears were re-cut, and everything was reassembled and set to spec.
The Result
The rebuilt gear train meshes on a clean, correct contact pattern and runs quiet and cool. The unit shipped back ready to install, backed by a 3-year warranty on the rebuild.
